Retexturing

Retexturing by Captive Blasting from JMS Lincoln can dramatically enhance the skid resistance of polished surfaces on high speed or rural highways and airport runways. We operate the only lorry mounted captive blasting unit in the UK.

Retexturing - Building up skid resistance on highways.

High velocity steel shot is driven at the treatment surface in a safe working environment, using a specially designed Captive Blasting machine. This method re-exposes the macro texture of any trafficked surface with minimal effect on the integrity of the pavement. The micro texture of the surface aggregate is significantly increased, without the risk of splintering. This process minimises damage to the road surface compared to other treatment methods
